South Norfolk District Council elections – 7th May 2015

We are standing 12 candidates across South Norfolk in the 2015 district council elections. Our candidates are listed by ward below:

District Council candidates
Beck Vale Jill Callaghan
Jill has lived in Pulham Market for 28 years, served on the Parish Council, is Chair of the Memorial Hall and helps with the Beckvale Community Car Scheme. She is a long-term Green Party member and tries to promote the Green vision in the community whenever she can.
Bressingham and Burston David Reynolds
David has lived in South Norfolk for eight years. Before his retirement he worked in the public sector for thirty five years using his skills, experience and qualifications in finance to help provide essential public services in local government and the university sectors. Towards the end of his career, he worked in a private sector company supporting local government, and then set up and ran his own small company. He has also helped run various voluntary club committees, been a parent school governor and a parish councillor.
Dickleburgh Sam Morgan
Diss David Milton
David has lived in Diss since 1993. He retired in 2014 after 40 years as a solicitor. He is a former Chair of Diss CAB and a volunteer with Norfolk Community Law Service. David is married with three adult children and his interests include sailing and horseracing.
Mulbarton Roy Walmsley
Northfields (Wymondham) John Beckett
After a long career working for a range of public services John took early retirement from 18 years as a science teacher in 2009. He now follows his passion for all things outdoors, is studying permaculture and has a small business offering sustainable ecomanagement services. He has two grown up children and has lived in Wicklewood for thirty years.
Rustens (Wymondham) Katherine Jenkins
Katherine has lived in Rustens Ward since she was 10 years old and studied at Robert Kett and Wymondham High School. After graduating, she returned to the town and began training as a chartered accountant at a local Norwich firm.
Scole David Seddon
Dr Seddon lives in Brockdish in Scole ward. After early retirement from his post as Professor of Politics & Development at UEA, he is now self-employed as an international risk consultant. Formerly a member of the Labour Party, he favours a red-green perspective and a new approach to local, national & international politics.
Stoke Holy Cross Julie Young
Stratton Linden Parker
Linden grew up in Long Stratton, and moved back here after completing a degree in European Studies and German at Aberystwyth University, Wales. Linden is 25 and lives with his family at Wood Green, Long Stratton. (Linden on Facebook)
